Zodiac not only has a wide range of options and accessories but a range of optional systems too. These are normally significant factory fitted integrated systems that are often patented or protected by trademark and copyright. They include:
Modular Inflatable Boat (MIB)
Zodiac inflatable boats can be fitted with jockey seats and consoles to perform like a RIB yet still be easily disassembled, packed and transported. The Quickfit™ system fits jockey seats and steering consoles without any tools, even the transom can be equipped with a quick release shoe, to remove the engine without tools, as well.
Minuteman
The Minuteman enables first responders to produce a fully inflated boat from pack to operational state in less than 60 seconds. No assembly is required, thanks to its Duratane™ PU high pressure inflatable deck. A SCUBA bottle inflates the entire boat. Powered by either paddles or a 30 hp engine, the 150- pound Minuteman can be launched quickly to help prevent drownings in any body of water. Its patented Rapid Access Door (RAD) makes it ideal for diving and search and rescue missions.
Rapid Access Door™ (RAD)
Designed to facilitate access to and from the water, this smaller diameter part of the buoyancy tube speeds search & rescue missions, yet is designed to limit swamping.
Durafit™ and Quickfit™
These unique systems are designed for quick attachment and removal of components such as seats, bolsters, storage lockers and other accessories to the deck, allowing Zodiac RIBs to have many different configurations to fit various mission profiles.
DuraRib™ Foam Collar
DuraRIB is a patented foam-filled buoyancy tube with an inflatable center that keeps 100% of its shape and function, even if punctured.
Diver-Door™
This patented Zodiac system allows the removal of a section of the buoyancy tube to facilitate recovery of divers, marine mammals, and victims.
WrapAround™ collar
This patented system extends the buoyancy tube behind the boat and engines, increasing the boat’s aft buoyancy, especially when launching and recovering from a stern ramp of a ship.
ArmorFlate™
Zodiac’s patented inflatable armor system protects craft and crew from small arms fire. ArmorFlate stow flat and out of the way on buoyancy tubes when not needed, then inflates with an on-board SCUBA tank in seconds.
SafeLift™
Zodiac’s patented lift-point that is recessed into the deck and remains flush with the deck surface when not being used, eliminating a trip hazard.
Autoflate™
Exclusive Zodiac Inter-communicating valves enable this patented system to maintain the ideal operational air pressure of buoyancy tubes automatically using a 12 volt inflation pump, activated by a sensor.
Thermal-cover™
This patented system allows for the engines to be covered by an insulating material that reduces the heat signature of the boat.
SMS™ (Shock Mitigation Systems)
Zodiac shock mitigating systems reduce crew fatigue and risk of injury by absorbing the impacts associated with operating high-speed crafts for long periods of time in harsh sea states. Zodiac systems may include seats, bolsters, suspension systems, sprung flooring and supports.
